Mango, Pear and Spinach Salad

Bored of the old tomato, cucumber and iceberg lettuce salad?

Show off your culinary skills at your next BBQ or dinner party with this delicious and fancy-pants salad.




  • Spinach
  • Mango or pear or both
  • Avocado
  • Pine nuts
  • Caramalised Balsamic Vinegar


Paleo dressing option

Whisk one part lemon juice with one part honey. Add and whisk half part olive oil and half part mustard. Season with salt and pepper



You can use any seasonal fruit with this recipe including strawberries or melons.

Place spinach into large salad bowl or plate. Chop all fruit into large cubes. Roast pine nuts in oven or pan fry until golden brown then sprinkle over salad. Pour dressing over salad just before serving.

  3. I love summer salads like this, and especially with fruit. I’ve only ever paired mango with prawns but I’ll definitely be trying this.
