30 by 30 Challenge
What is this 30 by 30 challenge you ask?
Well in 365 days I turn 30 years old! That’s right, today is my birthday and I am one of very few women who actually acknowledge their real age! Surprise!
I’ve always had life long goals – sort of like your bucket list – and one of my life long goals is marathon running (42kms) ! The closest I came was to running 19kms. I did enter a Half Ironman event with my husband where he would swim and ride, and I would run the half marathon (21km) at the end. But the day before the event I found out I was pregnant and didn’t want to push my body beyond the 19kms I had already run. Bubby, although just a spec at that time, was more important!
Anyway, next year I turn the big 30 and I would like to share my journey to running glory by documenting what I am doing each week as part of my training schedule! I know what you’re thinking, but 30kms is still 12km short of a marathon… yes, yes I can count too! I am hoping that I am super awesome at running that I will actually exceed my expectations and be able to run the full marathon by my 30th but to be honest 43 by 30 just doesn’t have a ring to it!
So this my 30 by 30 Challenge!!
